Steamboat Colorado Trip (March 2005)
by Kyle ...
The first day was rough because we arrived in Steamboat at 4:00AM, and
though we slept on the airplane and in the car ride from Denver to Steamboat,
everyone was tired and a bit cranky. The snow was very heavy too. Dad was
starting to wonder if taking the family to Steamboat was a very good idea.
Here's a "great" picture of us at the top of the Four Points
lift:

The second day was much better. We had a Powder Day with over 8" of
fresh snow. Our cousin Valerie skied with us too. It was awesome! In the
picture below, David leaned on his pole, and it went deep in to the snow!
The third day was a very sunny & beautiful day. We took some nice pictures
from the Chutes which were double black diamonds. We explored "Christmas
Tree Bowl" - which we all felt was our favorite trail. Here we are
at the top!

And here we are on Chute 1. I don't know if you can tell from this picture,
but the top of this trail was VERY steep

This is a beautiful picture from the Chutes, overlooking the scenic horizon.

The fourth day was "jump" day. We spent a bit of time on Buddy's
run, and took lots of pictures. This is a picture of David doing a "tail
grab" off a medium size jump

And not to be outdone, here is Kyle doing an awesome "Tail Grab",
showing that he can keep up with his big brother.

And in between all the skiing, we had lots of fun with cousin Valerie.
We visited one restaurant where we could throw our peanut shells right
on the floor. It didn't take us long before we started throwing them at
each other. Kyle freaked out all of the Waiters and Waitresses with his
Rattlesnake eggs.
Here we are goofing around with Pillows on our heads

And here we are acting like tourists on Main Street:
